Always hand carved first in wax by Emma in our Melbourne workshop then individually cast into solid sterling using ancient lost wax casting techniques, plated to perfection with 18k yellow gold, then polished to perfection by hand.

Each pair of Heart of Bone Bad Bunny®️Skull 18k Gold Vermeil stud earrings are hand stamped with our house hallmark and a traditional 925 sterling silver stamp.

Skulls represent life, death, impermanence, defiance, transformation, rebellion against social norms, strength, warrior traditions, immortality and the human experience. They are also a great reminder or memento mori - an object kept as a reminder of the invisibility of death, such as a skull. The origin of the Latin term Memento Mori literally means- 'remember (that you have) to die.'
