As the monumental 40th birthday of their bestselling album Back in Black approached, in 2020, legendary Australian rockers AC/DC reached out to Heart of Bone for an exclusive collection, launching a revolutionary new type of luxury rockware in the process. Using high technology as well as traditional craftsmanship, Heart of Bone engraved the actual grooves pattern of the Back to Black vinyl album (photographed using Electron Microscopy, working with the help of The University of Melbourne’s Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute, Bio 21), in a series of signet rings, ranging from very limited editions made of solid gold to durable and affordable stainless-steel ones in different finishes.
There are rock jewelry heirlooms in that collection for every fan of AC/DC. Heart of Bone x AC/DC also released a series of t shirts with light activated lightning designs and a very exclusive line of Scottish cashmere produced by Barrie. The iconic company based in Haywick is now the property of couture fashion house Chanel and operating within its Metiers d’Art rooster of high-end specialised artisan ateliers. The luxury knitwear range pays homage to founding members, Angus and Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott’s place of birth. The perfect collectible for rock and roll and luxury fans.
